My name is Cecily, and I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
I will be guiding you through this transformative, informative and exciting 2 week experience to feeling lighter, brighter and on your way to goals you’ve set for your health in this New Year.
I’m a woman who is passionate about health and wellness. I strive continually to find ways in my own life to eat well, enjoy my life and feel(and look) great. I get really excited helping other people find their unique way to great health. Life is too short to feel crappy, sleepy, irritable and heavy. I too am a busy person with a lot to do every day. I don’t have time to feel bad, get sick or sleep all day. My life demands for me to have energy, vitality and focus.
I have studied and tried so many different diets, approaches to wellness and until the past few years have struggled with having enough energy to get through my days without a nap. I was also toting around a varying 10-20 pounds of “baby weight”- yet, “baby” was well into his school years. I was physically active, ate fairly well, and yet the pounds and feeling of heaviness wouldn’t drop away. In fact, I was adding a few pounds each year. I made a few pretty easy and sustainable changes to my diet, and the weight fell away. I now enjoy food more than ever, eat a lot(this was really important to me- I really, really hate the feeling of restriction and counting calories- ugh), and in general take a lot of joy in planning, shopping, creating and nourishing myself, my family and friends with beautiful foods prepared with care and a happy heart.

This detox has been a great re-set button for me (I’d gotten waaay off track what with my handfuls of chocolate and such). I am a resident at the hospital, and while I am a relatively clean eater most of the time, I had just come off 2 hard months at work when I came across your cleanse. I was drinking way more coffee than I wanted to be drinking and had given in to all sorts of toxic foods- first just as “treats” for a hard day at work but by the end of those 2 months I found myself addicted to sugar and grains again and couldn’t envision how I would dig myself back out. I was puffy and didn’t feel good in my body. The day I signed up for your cleanse I had eaten an entire Amy’s pizza (not the single serve portion!) and gelato for dinner.
After stocking my kitchen with all the wonderful things on your shopping list, I knew this was going to help. I knew if I could get all those veggies in me and spend a few moments of the day tuning into my body and figuring out what it needed, I would feel much better. My Western-medicine-trained mind didn’t totally understand what all the talk about “supporting your liver” and “oil pulling” was really about, but I was open.
After phase 2, I felt even better than I thought I would. I feel light and can move more easily in my body. The scale says I lost 4 pounds, but it seems like so much more. My skin is brighter. I don’t crave anything bad for me and in general am a lot less “ravenous,” even when I’m hungry and haven’t eaten in a while– my body is more patient and willing to wait for nourishment instead of a quick fix. I now believe in smoothies and feel cheated that it took me 30 years to discover raw honey (it tastes like what you’ve wanted honey to taste like all along!) I’m down to one small, delicious cup of coffee in the morning that I sip mindfully. I’ve added back a few key, whole foods to be able to fuel my more rigorous exercise days but overall, my body (and myself!) is loving this fresh start and I feel more open to experiencing this beautiful Spring.
