I’m back with my homie Susan McCulley (you can get more Susan for yourself here on her site and here on Instagram) and her kick ass, authentic, real art… omg, this inspires such joy in me!

Think of it… a beautiful, leafy green salad with beets, roasted almonds and shredded colorful veggies, paired with a wine glass of kombucha and a square of dark chocolate for dessert.

No one is suffering with this kind of lunch, and yes!!  That “sistah, I got your back”… YES to that!

Contrast that with… microwaved, convenience burrito (we can make it organic), with a glass of tap water on the side.

Granted, it’s not a *terrible* lunch, but can you feel how the future you is much less enthused? This lunch is not going to get you places you would like to go.

Resolutions.

Did you make any this year? Do you remember? Right about now is the time when they stop feeling so fun, and usually by the end of January, they are done for most. Sad, but true.

According to U.S. News, approximately 80% of resolutions fail by the second week of February.  My hunch on this is that most people don’t have a realistic plan for *how* the resolution is going to happen.

For example, a person who says “I’m going to exercise more this year” will fail at this. Why? It’s not clear. “More” is not defined, and the “how” hasn’t landed in there at all.

The resolutions that I DO see stick sound more like, “I’m going to join a soccer league, walk with Jo every Weds at 10, and get to yoga on Tuesday and Thursday at 9.” Can you feel the difference in the two?

How about eating? “I’m going to lose weight this year” makes me cringe when I hear it, because I know that the same person will be sitting with me in 6 weeks saying, “oh well, Resolutions never work anyway.”

The person who has the resolution to lose weight and makes a plan usually a plan that has them adding good stuff in while stopping some of the not so supportive behaviors typically knocks it out of the park.

So, judgement free zone….. where are you landing with your resolutions?

To make changes, most people need support of some kind – new information, a good plan, accountability to follow through, and a future self that is celebrating the kind acts toward a happy, healthy future.

Do you need help with:

  • New information so that you can make shifts that actually bring you results?
  • A good plan so that you know what you are doing day-by-day and can stick with and feel good about it?
  • Accountability so that you act on your best behalf and have someone cheering you on when it’s challenging?

I’ve got an open spot for a conversation with you. Let’s get you set with what you need to be saying  “Sistah, I got your back” and mean it!

Leave a comment and we will find a time.

xx,
